Bayano Taught to me by my grandmother, this
rhythm is very popular in Brazil soft, compelling.
Tschepp A Sabar pattern (hand and stick
drumming)
transferred to Djembe.
Merengue This rhythm was brought to North
America by slaves and made popular in Haiti, Columbia and Puerto
Rico.
Ga From the Ga people of Ghana, this is celebration
drumming (bells, call and response).
Morna A dance and song pattern of Portuguese origin,
it developed in Senegal, Guinea Bissao and the Cabo Verde Islands.

used Djembe break.
Conga Line In Africa it is associated with
Goumbay, a popular merry making dance.
