  • Djembe
    The most popular drum in West Africa and soon, the world.  Its goblet shape gives the drum a powerful and versatile voice.

  • Lammb
    Called the "wise drum" because of its low voice, this drum is unique to Senegal.

    Mahogany, average weight 20-25 lbs.

  • Sabar
    Provides a playful complement to the patterns established by the Lammb.
  • Balafon
    Is the ancestor of all xylophones.  The balafon uses mahogany slats for keys and gourds as resonators, all mounted on a bamboo frame.  Comes with sap-tipped mallets.

  •  Kora
    Made by one of the leading Kora playing families in Senegal.
  • Shekere
    A gourd with a beaded skirt is a vibrant accompaniment to drumming and song.

  •   Talking Drum
    Called the butterfly of the Sabar drum family, the talking drum can be used as an extension to human speech.  This drum is highly popular because its melodic versatility.  This hourglass-shaped drum is played under the arm with hand and stick.
